you are dead on right, my friend. do not underestimate their skill at using
psychological leverage: many of them have had to master this if they did not
have other talents to get them ahead.
don't forget that sex is in fact a drug that works through the same brain
channels as opium and heroin: it's physically and psychologically addictive and
withdrawals are a bitch. on the other hand, like those drugs, it's one of the
great pleasures of life. learn to master its use, and beware of its dangers.

i've found them to start becoming desperate around 27, myself, when the dreaded
'30' appears on their horizon. most of them want one thing: to meld into society
and uphold all the traditions through a mediocre family life. this is a great
thing, if you can stomach it. personally, i can't, and so i have to suffer.
i really wonder how people who excel are able to deal with the massive
distraction of marriage and family. i can't figure it out. how can you get
anything important done when your attention is constantly in demand?
