Chris's Chinatown Duck
11/20/2004
Well hello there,
News around here is plenty, last week Jenny and I went to see the "Tragically
Hip" a famous Canadian Band and we were lucky to get seats in the 21st row
amongst a packed stadium of 50,000 people. The concert was awsome and Jenny had
a ball. We also happened to notice David Copperfield doing a show so I took it
apon myself to suprise Jenny with some tickets to that, he was very entertaining
and even had himself and a member of the audience disapear and re-apear on a
live cam at beautiful Puket Is (near Australia) and he couldn't have picked a
better stunt to premier with than magically making himself appear on a Harley
center stage, very cool.
Had some Duck in Chinatown and did a hell of alot of shopping, not just Jenny
but myself included, ended up getting a couple of cases of "The Little Penguin,"
(the shiraz is awesome and you can't get it in the Yukon) so we thought that was
pretty neat. The Brewhouses were definitely a highlight, with great selection
and quality at both the Steamhouse and Yaletown I was thinking of my brewing
mates Johno and Jason back in N.B., you guys would have loved it. Prior to our
trip we ran dangerously close to being evicted as we threw a dinner party with
the usual suspects, the wine was a plenty and the stereo may have been just a
couple of notches on the too higher side. The next day I was greeted by a very
unimpressed landlord but all is good now and we have decided to throw dinner and
a move until we get our own place.
Gota go for now,
Chris and Jenny.
