Chris's Expensive Sled

10/02/2004

Well it's been a while since the last e-mail but to tell you the truth there hasn't been that much to write about, you seem to settle into a job and get into the eat sleep and work cycle which really makes for boring reading but after a few months there come to be a few things worth noting. The triple XXX's last night celebrated the end of season party, Jenny and my softball team, who infamously took out the end of season softball tournament at Atlan and for my first game as a rookie, I was particularly pleased with my performance. Since then we have sold the van that hauled us across Canada and now like a true Yukoner I have reset my priorities to purchasing a really really cheep truck so I can get a really really expensive sled. So having bought my first truck and first 302 V8, yes that's right a Ford, for those of you who know, F150, I am on the hunt for a fuel injected long tracked beast. There is a club here unofficially you could call it "The boyz with the toyz club", where the aim is to get the biggest nastiest sled every year and they are giving me plenty of encouragement to get into it. The home brewing has taken a back seat for the moment as our apartment is just a little to small for all of that. As for house hunting we are still diligently looking at all these houses pass us by as we haven't got a pre-approval yet, but you really can't go a season in the Yukon with out a sled so priorities are priorities. Weekend activities seem to be going to Krista and Anthoney's place for dinner and visa versa, I am bringing new meaning to "A good piece of Lamb" for some people who just aren't used to the taste. Hope to read or see you all soon,

Chris and Jenny.
