Grant's Camino de Santiago
04/16/2004
Hey Daryl,
I'm on the Camino de Santiago, in northern Spain. It's an old pilgrimage trail
from the middle ages. I started a week ago and I'll be walking about three and a
half or four more weeks. My dad walked with me this week. He leaves tommorow. He
came over from the US for a little vacation. I started in the Pyrenees, at the
French border, and will continue on until Santiago de Compostela, and then to
the ocean, to some place people call the end of the earth. It's fun, and it's
cheap. A few days ago I walked through Pamplona, where you did the bull thing. I
finished up my classes in Sevilla on the 2nd of April. Since then I went to
Morocco again and climbed up a big mountain, and then I came here. From here it
will be back to the south for a few days to visit friends, and then out of
Spain. I'm planning on being out of Spain before June. I'll then go to a few
places in France, later Italy, then Greece, Bulgaria...... I'll have three
months to mess around in Europe after I leave Spain. Then I go back to North
Carolina. I ended up deciding on going to UNC. I'll be there in Chapel Hill next
fall. That's about it. It's nice to hear from you. I'll talk to you later.
