Grant's Spanish Tour
03/08/2004
Hey,
I heard you passed through North Carolina a few days ago. I'm sorry I missed it.
I guess you know, I'm back in Spain again, and am back to studying Spanish. I'm
getting pretty good at it. You ought learn while you're down in South America.
I'll be here in Spain until the middle of May, and then I'll take off on a trip
around Europe. I'm still not sure where all I'm heading. I'm thinking about
going east from spain, and visiting some French people I know, and then going
through Italy, and then taking that ferry you told me about to Greece. From
there I imagine I'll work my way back north and west, I'm not sure how, to make
it to London where my flight leaves from. You know quite a bit of people over
here in Europe don't you? Any friends that would be good contacts? It's kind of
funny you mention the volvo in your e-mail. I just got back from an adventure in
an ancient volvo. Some Dutch guy I met got me to go with him in his 1967 volvo
to the Sierra Nevada, near Granada. The only problem was that it ran off of
natural gas, and it had a normal gas tank, but it only held enough to go about
50 miles. Being Spain, most gas stations aren't open all night. Since we came
back to Sevilla at night we had a lot of close calls. We ran out of gas once and
some suspicious police ended up buying us gas. It was an adventure. Now he's
taking his ridiculous care to Morroco, to the Sahara. He's a fool.
Anyway, I'll talk to you later.
Grant
