hey daryl heres some journal stuff, its very sketchy so i hope its of some use, ill start on 16 march as this is the last entry in you website, just a reminder dont drive up the middle of the country its not a good idea. terrible roads and ignorant people

mar 16 up early for sunrise at taj, couple of near misses on bikes for both of us,kid crossed road after you passed directly in front of me nearly took him out. took bunch of kids for run on my bike outside temple, stop at mawhi, think this is where you had great thali

mar 17 arrived in jaipur just as clutch gave out, mechanic next to us drove bike to get it fixed.finally made it to pizza hut, guy with puzzles, sit out side hotel playing chess.

mar 18 most of day fixing bike with sheet metal workers next door, then we went round the town and i took a test roll of black and white

mar 19 this was the great argument in the museum day where we got him to admit his museum was shit and he didnt care, then we went to the fort at night got seperated and you came back about two in the morning after a wiring fault.

mar 20 went to fort again, i got wrong directions and went up the walking path getting some funny looks as i went, i knew it was the wrong way but didnt care, then escaped past the guard and met you halfway up the hill and you went to the fort

mar 21 this was the salt lake day, with the krishna fest and then the dust storm and then the salt lake with the horrible hotel with the camels in the car park,40 odd people watching you eat an egg,your bike sounding like a bag of spanners when we got there

mar 22 up early because of noisy indians in hotel, fix your bike in morning, stopped at the fort with the people camping at where i got the flat tyre. broken brake peddle zand then another flat tyre, finally got to ajmer and stay in half decent hotel

mar 23 looked around market and the temple with the no chewing beatles sign, nice drive to pushkar where we look around and find our first bang lassis

mar 24 i went for drive and met family who gave me chia, and then tried to charge me fifty rupees for it and the kids pulled the plug connection off my bike in extortion attemp,met tash and the gang and went to restaurant which apparantly was the "rave one"according to israeli heifer

mar 25 went for drive with the girls, got another flat, tash decides to join us

mar 26 all it says is lazy day reading, i think you got train tickets with tash

mar 27 reading dice man book which wasnt to good, not sure think you just chilled out at the pool, bhang lassis at night

mar 28 train to jaisalmer, gave holy dude half my hash cookie, indians got very annoying on the train, met the guy in jodhpur who told uis about nice hotel and had half decent meal near train station

mar 29 holi, indians groping girls and generally annoying the shit out of us, i explored the fort with ryka, you organised the camel tour

mar 30 felt sick during safari and left

mar 31 you guys got back from the safari

apr 1 bus back to ajmer

apr 2 early stary to out hotel, i went to post susie's present and got another flat, holi still dragging on, then you borrowed my petrol filter for a while

apr 3 leave there early, i fix head gasket for about three hours, your get your forks fixed/fucked at same time, my gasket blows about 25 k from johdpur, ditch bike at someones house then hitch to town where i lose sunnies, not a good day

apr 4 get bike, fix bike

apr 5 couldn't find cozy guesthouse in maze of alleyways and confusing directions, ready to kill someone by the time i get there. go and take photos and then great curry, got new glasses and then we went to the fort

apr 6 lazy day taking some more pics and then another curry

apr 7 drive to jalore and get thrown out of crappy jain hotel,

apr 8 drive to mt abu, chill out in cold air very nice

apr 9 you picked up tash and i got flat tire no five, this is when we met jasvinder and the dick who said he wanted my bike

apr 10 your birthday with gateau , think you spent most of the day with tash

apr 11 went to cool jain temple where we sit on floor for half an hour looking at the carved ceiling very good,then you and tash went somewhere else, the kid was showing me the money he had for my bike, a one dollar bill and some drachmas which used to be worth about 50 cents

apr 12 i went to udaipur, flat tire no. six which , gave mineral water to old man who said it tasted like petrol and spat it out, probably the only clean water hes ever tasted in his life

apr 15 meet you at the hotel, the start of the festival with the colourful clothes

apr 16 you spend all day with the mechanic, watched bit of festival and then bhang lassis and james bond

apr 17 huge argument in train staition after they tell us wrong information and realise we wont have enough time to change the bikes onto ohther train, bit irrelevant really as we got there late and missed train entirely, anothre bhang lassi

apr 18 you run out of fuel and get 1 litre which turns into half a litre about ten minutes later, tried to get us to insure bikes so tell them its 1000 ruppees together, miss seeing them load bikes on train

apr 19 no sign of bikes in ahmedabad, then find them get to bombay to find both sligfhtly damaged, get hotel and then go for pizza at that half decent restaurant with girls drinking beer and smoking, no cows on streets weird

apr 20 this is the day i got back saying id never been this hot from crawford market

apr 21 try again at market, lose you in crowd. went to the mosque and meet up with you at hotel later and walk along seafront after india gate? or whatever that thing was

apr 22 thieves market and then you and tash go looking for a bike

apr 23 this is the day i left for goa _ _ ______________________________________________________ _ _
