Dave's Burnt Clutch Pads

11/01/2004

Well 3 days after you left i finally got my clutch pads... cost me 270 bolivian or about 34 usd. Dave, so if you have an interest in helping me out on that please send the check to my mom when you get back home.

Anyways, that was all the easy bit... You see it turns out that the burnt clutch muck entered the cylinder and caused even more internal damage. Something only discovered after a couple days deep in the yungas when the bike started stalling every 5 minutes and requiring me to wait another 20 for the engine to cool before it would start the cycle again. The whole way to Iripana where i couldn{t take it anymore and decided it best to catch a lift for my bike and me back to la paz for more parts and repairs.

So right now i am in la paz and prolly will be for a week tearing the whole damn thing apart to fix the timing and rings and some other things that got toasted.

I had a great time hanging out with you guys... thanks for that. And also thanks for dropping that stuff off, even though you were to boracho to remember where it was. i will try to find it when i get there, if i ever do...
