Chris's Tragically Hip

10/24/2004

To the crew,

Well exiting stuff here in the Yukon (for me) as I wait for more snow to fall, part of that is the anticipation of having a sled and the other part would have to be because I am an Ozzy and living and working in the snow, especially around December, is a bit of a novelty. But don't worry I haven't flipped my lid completely, there are still times I curse the cold, if the truck won't start at -40. The truck seems to be going well and all I need now is maybe new tires so I can stop the thing but definitely a bigger carb. Some of you know Jenny had her birthday which was a big surprise party, with all her mates From Air North showing up (definitely hard to slip anything under her radar). Infact I managed to also install a remote starter in her car and a stereo system in another covert operation, so all in all a success.

We are off to Vancouver to see the Tragically Hip play and we have managed to get the 21st row seats from the stage as American Express are selling the ground floor seats exclusively.

Halloween is just around the corner and is a big thing here in Canada, I am thinking of going as "The colonel", Colonel Sanders, just so Jenny will allow me a tub of KFC, joy.

We attended the wine tasting in the Yukon the other night, again heavily dominated by Australian Wines, the night was very close to being a complete blur as I struggled to keep upto my Newfy mate Anthoney while the girls hung back and did things at a more leasurely pace. we bought a case of wine, enough to stock our wine rack which was our goal, the 2002 Smokeing Loon from California, a Merlot and the little Blue Penguin seemed to be a couple of the favorites of the night if I dare to remember. The next day at work was pretty hard and I think I am getting old.

Chow for now,

Chris and Jenny. _ _ ______________________________________________________ _ _
