Plaza de Armas (2 of 2)
Its actually quite dull
To the Hacienda San Jose where i toured the tunnels
and met Diana & Karla of Lima also on tour of the coast

on to Pisco
where about the most interesting thing was the old fishing pier
and the small pueblos down the coast

Moto touring the Paracas Marine Reserve
With its impressive drop-offs

and its mysterious candlestick
and its kilometers of magical nothing
an incredible moto experience
uh...
Ah... a map!

Los Lobos del Mar
These fishermen were insane

An unexpectedly delicious sea bass for lunch, 10s
roads to nowhere

amazing lookouts
and The Cathedral
where I encounter my first tourists

The semi-saviours
Welcome to Ica, a typical and pleasent city
but just as trashy as everywhere else
The Rio Grande
where I had the pleasure of getting pissed with the pisco brothers
and meeting Fritzia and her family
and drinking more pisco while avoiding the lines of coke and whores with the local gobierno corrupto

A few days relaxing at the nearby Huacachina

cuarto quarenta y cinco
ninos en la ventana

so happy he finally won one
a tough climb to the top of the dunes
for a beautiful sunset
The Pan America Sur to Nazca
my 'spider hole' for the night
over the pass
The lines of Palpa (reloj del sol)
The road to La Pena
The Nazca Lines Mirador
Where you can see 2 figures... this one is some sort of bird i think
and some blob with its arms in the air
But i was more impressed by the Pan America that cuts through it all
Back alley of Nazca
The extracting of gold
mercury does the trick
rinsing it
and filtering it though a fine cloth
and the result is gold, plus a little mercury which needs boiled off (this is 15 bags of stone worth)
Futbol match, the back door
The aquaducts
a river of water underground to protect it from the dry heat of day
Cerro Blanco, the worlds largest sand dune on the horizon

Into the mountains... the road to Puquio
