Hiking the Monteverde rainforest (3 days)

Welcome to the Monteverde rainforest (actually it's a cloudforest)
I spent 3 days hiking through it and saw lots of cool stuff like this bug
The beginning of the trek (sign dividing tourist area from the real area)
Underneath the canopy it is dark, making it tough to photograph
Welcome to the Aleman Refuge
Me standing next to a tree (self timer)
There are a dozen varieties of fern alone
A refreshing river cuts through the jungle
Thousands of plants I have never seen before
Plenty of tarzan vines and the like
A suspension bridge crosses the river near Eladio
Again, from a different angle
This is a real jungle, do not try this at home...
I rest at the Eladio Refuge after 3 hours of extreme hiking
Looking out from the refuge
'Now that's a leaf'
Back at the refuge, a candle lights the 'treasure map'
Me with Tim & Missy, surprise visitors
Tim helping Missy cross one of the many rivers on the hike out
A pissed off crab
More jungle stuff
Another cool suspension bridge on the way out
Again, from a different angle
A rather lame waterfall
